Review: Love Actually (2012)

What is the summer at drama land without some sweet romantic idol dramas! This year that drama in the Cdrama category would be Love Actually.

The Just of Things: Xiao Xia (Lee Da Hae) is a pretty but poor young women, who was an orphan (typical Asian drama female lead) that takes care of her nephew since her brother is incapable of doing so. So is rolled into a string of events that allows her to live with the Chen family as the fiance of their oldest on (aka someone that she only met once in her life). The Chen family owns a very popular eastern dessert shop that is ran by the second son Chen Hao Fang (Joe Chen). Hao Fang was suspicious of his soon to be sister in-law the moment she stepped into their house and made it his mission to find out the truth. What happens when Hao Fang finds the truth? What happens when Hao Fang and his youngest brother falls in love with Xiao Xia?

Review: Although this isn’t the best summer romance drama I watched, it was the best from China of 2012. It made me wanting to watch the next episode and finish it which many dramas couldn’t, so thumbs up for that! However it does have a lot of the common Asian drama plot lines (ie. Love triangle within the family, an accident/ disease a main character gets) In my opinion this drama is worth a try if you haven’t found that satisfying romantic drama of 2012.
